Students from Lina Martinez Hernandez's Spanish 102 class visited Las Parcelas, a Philadelphia community garden that promotes positive change through youth education, community leadership, green spaces, the arts, and the celebration of Latinx cultures.
The department of Spanish aims to give students a thorough knowledge of the Spanish language and the ability to understand and interpret Spanish, Spanish American, and Latino texts and cultures.
The prospective English major spent the summer working with Grupo de Apoyo Mutuo, which searches for those who disappeared during the country’s civil war.
